About:

In a lively town far far away, Widow Twankey is trying to grow her fast food empire, but she gets no help from her adventurous son Aladdin and terribly evasive employee Dishee-Washee. Meanwhile the Emperor is in a panic because Princess Lotus Blossom has gone missing! But no need to fear, the famous detective Rick-Shaw is on the case. However, lurking in the shadows is the evil sorcerer Abanazer, and he seems to be searching for something…

How it works

Let us know any parts you’re interested in when you contact us (up to 4.) We will do a read-through of the script where you’ll be assigned different parts throughout the read-through and act out the role with other auditionees. Don’t worry about being in the wrong place or getting lines wrong as you’ll have a script in front of you, we don’t expect you to get it right first time. Instead we’re looking for voice projection, characterization, and how much fun/energy you bring to the part. Ad libbing is welcome!

Where and when?

Auditions will take place 8:15 PM to 10:00 PM at the Octagon, St Mary Magdalene’s Church hall, Lillington, Leamington Spa. It will be split up over 2 days in order to cover everything: 25th of May and June 1st. Please let us know if you can only make one of the dates (which is completely fine!)

Rehearsals/Peformance Dates

Rehearsals will take place every Monday evening from 8:15 PM to 10:00 PM at the Octagon, St Mary Magdalene’s Church hall, Lillington, Leamington Spa. We will perform January 23rd, 24th, 29th, 30th, 31st.
